A 100-Year Journey
I'm on a 100-year journey to create new digital economies, produce more energy, build new infrastructure, farm regeneratively, achieve immortality, and unlock the secrets of the universe.
These are the frontiers I believe will shape the future. My goal is to contribute to moving them forward in whatever ways I can.
Create New Digital Economies
Capitalism has been the single most powerful tool humans have ever created for advancing human prosperity. For over 400+ years, it has evolved as a unique engine to channel human ambition, organize resources at scale, and continually reinvent itself to meet the challenges of each era.
I believe we are entering the next evolution of capitalism. AI, smart contracts, tokenization, digital networks, robotics, and distributed computing will fundamentally reshape how people create value, coordinate work, exchange goods and services, and participate in the economy.
These technologies are not simply incremental improvements. They represent the foundation for new digital economies that expand human capability, create new forms of ownership, and enable entirely new ways of organizing society at global scale.
Technology has repeatedly transformed how humans coordinate, exchange value, and build businesses. The internet changed how information moves. Mobile computing changed how people access services and participate in markets. AI will create another fundamental shift by changing how work is performed, how decisions are made, and how organizations operate.
The next generation of businesses will look fundamentally different from those of today. AI will enable individuals to build and operate companies that previously required entire teams, while established enterprises will increasingly rely on intelligent systems to execute work alongside people.
Commerce itself will evolve as AI agents increasingly discover products, compare alternatives, negotiate purchases, manage subscriptions, coordinate logistics, and complete transactions on behalf of individuals and organizations. Businesses will increasingly serve both human customers and AI agents acting on their behalf.
Capital allocation and investment will become more intelligent as AI improves underwriting, investment analysis, portfolio management, and capital deployment. At the same time, tokenization and programmable ownership have the potential to transform how physical assets are financed, owned, and exchanged. Real estate, infrastructure, energy assets, and other traditionally illiquid investments can become more accessible and programmable through new digital ownership models.
Intelligence will also move beyond software and into the physical world. Robotics, autonomous systems, and edge computing will bring AI directly into factories, vehicles, infrastructure, farms, and energy systems, enabling machines to observe, reason, and act in real time.
Produce More Energy
Energy is the foundation of civilization. Every major increase in human prosperity has been tied to greater access to affordable, reliable energy.
The fastest way to reduce poverty and raise standards of living is to expand access to abundant, affordable, and reliable energy. Energy powers clean water systems, food production, healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, education, and nearly every aspect of modern life. Wherever energy becomes more accessible, opportunity, economic growth, and human well-being tend to follow.
The future requires more energy, not less. Artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, robotics, space exploration, and scientific discovery will all require enormous amounts of energy. Meeting those demands while continuing to improve quality of life around the world will require continued innovation across every part of the energy ecosystem.
Unlocking abundant, affordable, and reliable energy is one of the most important challenges and opportunities of our generation.
Build New Infrastructure
The future will require rebuilding and expanding the physical systems that support society.
Infrastructure is the foundation that allows communities, businesses, and economies to grow. Industrial facilities, transportation networks, energy systems, communications infrastructure, manufacturing capacity, and data centers create the physical platform upon which prosperity depends.
Over the past several decades, America hollowed out much of its industrial capability in pursuit of lower costs. We outsourced manufacturing and became increasingly dependent on other countries to produce many of the products and technologies that underpin modern life. Global trade created enormous prosperity and should continue to play an important role, but in many ways America chose to "sell the cows to buy more milk." We traded long-term productive capacity for short-term efficiency. Long-term prosperity requires participating in the global economy while maintaining the ability to build what matters most at home.
At the same time, we are entering another industrial revolution. Artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced manufacturing, and abundant computing will reshape every major industry. Unlike the last industrial transformation, America has an opportunity to lead this one, but only if we build the infrastructure to support it. Data centers, abundant energy, semiconductor fabrication, advanced manufacturing facilities, and modern logistics networks will become the factories of the AI age.
This is a race to build the physical foundation of the next economy. If we build quickly, America can once again become the world's industrial leader while continuing to participate in a globally connected economy.
Building infrastructure is about more than constructing buildings. It is about creating the physical foundation that enables innovation, prosperity, and long-term economic leadership.
Farm Regeneratively
Healthy civilizations begin with healthy land.
Agriculture has always been one of humanity's most important industries, but feeding a growing global population requires us to produce more food while restoring the natural systems that sustain it.
Too much of modern agriculture has prioritized short-term output at the expense of long-term health. Factory farming, excessive pesticide use, declining soil quality, and environmental degradation have placed increasing strain on our land, animals, and rural communities. We can do better.
I believe the future of agriculture lies in regenerative farming practices that rebuild soil, improve biodiversity, reduce reliance on synthetic chemicals, treat animals responsibly, and produce healthier food. At the same time, these systems must remain productive and economically viable. Sustainability cannot come at the cost of abundance. The challenge is to produce more food with fewer inputs while leaving the land healthier for future generations.
Technology will play a critical role in making this possible. Artificial intelligence, robotics, precision agriculture, autonomous equipment, improved genetics, sensors, and data-driven farm management can help farmers increase yields while reducing waste, lowering chemical inputs, and restoring ecosystems.
Achieve Immortality
Human life is our most valuable resource.
Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, genetics, regenerative medicine, robotics, and computing are opening entirely new frontiers in human health. These technologies have the potential to prevent disease before it begins, repair damaged tissue, slow the biological processes of aging, and enable people to live healthier, more productive lives for far longer than we do today.
Healthcare is shifting from reactive to proactive. Instead of waiting for disease to develop, advances in diagnostics, continuous monitoring, genomics, and predictive artificial intelligence will increasingly allow us to detect risks early, personalize treatments, and intervene before illness occurs. The future of medicine will be centered on maintaining health rather than simply treating sickness.
At the same time, entirely new therapies are becoming possible. Gene editing, regenerative medicine, cell therapies, advanced prosthetics, brain-computer interfaces, and AI-assisted drug discovery are expanding what medicine can accomplish. Many diseases that are currently chronic or untreatable may eventually become preventable, manageable, or curable.
Progress will also require rethinking how healthcare is delivered. Artificial intelligence can reduce administrative burden, accelerate medical research, improve clinical decision making, and make high-quality healthcare more accessible around the world. These technologies have the potential not only to improve outcomes but also to lower costs and expand access to billions of people.
The coming decades will fundamentally change how we understand, diagnose, prevent, and treat disease. As our understanding of the human body continues to grow, so too will our ability to improve both the length and quality of human life.
Unlock the Secrets of the Universe
Curiosity has always driven human progress.
From understanding the fundamental laws of physics to exploring the origins of life and consciousness, every generation has expanded humanity's understanding of the universe and our place within it.
Science and philosophy are inextricably intertwined. Every scientific breakthrough begins with philosophical questions, and without science, philosophy risks drifting away from reality. To truly understand the world, we should approach it from every angle by questioning assumptions, testing ideas, and following evidence wherever it leads.
History is equally important. Understanding where we came from helps us understand where we are going. There is still much we do not know about ancient civilizations, human migration, lost technologies, and the events that shaped our world. We should continue to investigate both established history and unanswered historical questions with intellectual curiosity and scientific rigor.
Scientific discovery has always produced benefits far beyond its original purpose. Advances in physics have enabled modern computing and medicine. The pursuit of knowledge often creates technologies that reshape everyday life in ways no one could have predicted.
Curiosity is one of our greatest strengths as a species, and investing in discovery is ultimately an investment in our future.
The Journey
None of these pursuits exist in isolation. Advances in AI accelerate scientific discovery. More energy enables more computation. Infrastructure supports economic growth. New digital economies create better ways to organize capital and human effort. Progress in one frontier often unlocks progress in another.
A 100-year journey is not about having every answer today. It is about choosing a direction and consistently moving toward it. This is my focus.
